MBSR Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction 8-Week Online Course in English

3:30 – 6:00 PM (8 times; 20 contact hours total)
MBSR is a holistic program. The course focuses on practical, mindfulness-based exercises for coping with stress, background information and discussions on the main topics as well as on the integration of mindful behaviour into everyday life.
-Free preliminary talk to clarify questions – yours and mine
-8 sessions of 2 ½ hours each
-Practice of core mindfulness exercises: Body scan, mindful yoga, sitting meditation, walking meditation
-Short lectures and discussions on the following main topics:
- How does our perception work
- Insights from current stress research
- Recognizing personal stress patterns
- Dealing with stress-exacerbating thoughts (e.g. brooding)
- Dealing with difficult emotions such as anger, anger, fear or depressive mood
- Mindful communication
- Self-criticism and compassion.
-individual follow-up (on request)
-Integration into everyday life at home through daily practice (approx. 45 min.). That is a lot … but you would like to make new experiences and develop new habits in these 8 weeks. Mindfulness needs practice so that it can develop from mere knowledge to lived experience.
-7 Exercise-MP3 and a detailed course booklet for the practice at home
Mindfulness can only be experienced!
This is why we will practice mindfulness exercises in the course in addition to the main topics and group discussions. You will then practice these at home during the week with the MP3 instructions.
The sharing of experiences during the course is also a major element: the participants report on their experiences in practice. Each participant only tells as much as he or she would like to. The attention is gently drawn back from excessive stories and generalizations to the experience in the moment.
